HOLY WEEK

Well, well...posting another blog after so many months. I'm here in QC right now waiting for my car to get fixed so I thought of checking out my forgotten blog page. It's already summer so the heat is really getting into my nerves. Also looking forward to a fun-filled swimming party with my friends this week, can't wait. A five day off from work is approaching and I still have no clue as to how I'll be spending it. Probably staying at home writing a new song or indulging myself to a cartoon DVD marathon. Better get the chips and dip ready...this is gonna be a loooooong weekend. Stay safe peeps. Enjoy the holy week vacation.

The Caffenol Process

Whoa! It's been almost a year since my last post, been very busy the past few months. Anyway, I would just like to share a new found hobby of mine. It's called "The Caffenol Process". It's basically a way of developing black and white film negatives by using coffee, crushed vitamin C tablets, soda ash and an acid fixer. I have always wanted to develop my own films at home but the scarcity of developing chemicals has left me frustrated. Then suddenly, a fellow blogger sent me a link showing how to develop films using home based recipes. Of course I went out at once, bought the materials needed and gave it a shot. Unfortunately, it wasn't that easy at all, I had the experience of wasting a perfectly good 36-shot roll before I got the hang out of it. So now, I have succeeded on my second roll and I'm totally amazed on how the photos went out. Will proudly post some sample shots here. Coffee anyone?

Typical Tuesday

Another typical tuesday afternoon. Keeping myself busy with forum reading over the net as usual. Bought a book the other day, but haven't bothered reading the first chapter yet. It's actually always like that, I buy a book, then wait a couple of weeks before I start reading it...I'm kinda weird in that sense. Anyway, it's almost 4 o'clock in the afternoon and I've done most of my work so I'm just trying to keep myself busy with youtube, philmug and skype. One more hour then I'm off to the mall. Ciao for now! =)

Weekend

It's been a month since my last post, been busy with a lot of things lately. Anyway, it's again the last day of the week. Been looking forward to a peaceful, stress-free weekend. I've been restless and nostalgic the past few days, don't know why? But what the hell, I'm gonna make this weekend count!

"Eclipse" is out now. I've been hearing a lot of great feedbacks about the movie. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though cos' I'm not sure if tickets are easily available since most weekenders has plans of watching it also. Don't want to get caught up in the whole twilight mania where people wait for hours just to get movie tickets let alone spending almost an hour to get a small bag of BBQ popcorn from Taters. Sheeeesh! here's to wishful thinking. Ciao for now!

Only In Pinas

It's halfway of the week...and the first time it rained like hell. Took me two hours to go to work, but I was a bit feeling upbeat. Spent the whole morning trip singing the falsetto parts of Tanya Markova's album inspite of the melancholic atmosphere. Traffic was everywhere, even on the most private parts of the road there was chaos. Sheeesh...you just can't imagine how many trucks, buses and jeepneys are on the streets nowadays. And to top it all off, road renovations are all over the metro causing more traffic. Its even more frustrating to see our men in uniform just standing on one corner and acting as if they're controlling the traffic when in fact, they are really just there as mascots busy with texting and gossiping with their fellow enforcers, tsk...tsk...tsk!

As the phrase goes..."ONLY IN PINAS".

Lazy Afternoon

Gloomy day today. U2's "All I Want Is You" playing on the background. The A/C set to 18 degrees. A cup of hot coffee on my desk. No phone calls or deadlines. Perfect!

Micro Four Thirds

For the past few weeks, I'm again being haunted by this thing called GAS. Nope boys and girls, it's not what you think. To me and my fellow techies, GAS means "Gear Acquisition Syndrome". Being a musician/photographer/lomographer/songwriter/mac lover/etc...I need a lot of stuff to suffice my hobbies and interests. One particular gadget I'm currently in love with right now is the Micro Four Thirds camera that Olympus and Panasonic just recently released. The said system is comparable to a compact camera on steroids. A slim and lightweight camera with the capability of a full sized DSLR, and it has the so called interchangeable lens that we normally see on Nikon and Canon prosumer models. Most of my photographer friends already took the plunge into the Micro Four Thirds technology and they have been forcing me to do the same. So now...thoughts are running through my head...shall I give in and render my current DSLR useless...or shall I wait 10 more years and just get it off from ebay at a very, very cheap price? Oh well, come what may. I just hope this GAS of mine goes away real soon before I dive into another monthly deferred payment obligation.
